Bio

Jeff Styers is a Game Art & Design instructor at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where he has been employed for more than 10 years.

He is also an adjunct Professor at Point Park University where he has been employed for the past 2 years in the Journalism and Mass Communications department.

Prior to becoming an educator Jeff worked for Take 2 Interactive Software as a video game artist for almost 4 years. He considers his first job in video games to be the luckiest break of his life because, without it, the life he enjoys today would not have been possible.

Jeff has a Bachelor's degree in Corporate Communication from Point Park University and a Master's degree in Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon University.

In his spare time he produces video game mods with some of his students and co-workers at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He's also hard at work on his first graphic novel which, he hopes, will some day see the light of day as a published work.

He is an avid gamer but has precious little time to actually play them. He has an endless appetite for new media and consumes books, movies and news at an alarming rate.

He lives in Pittsburgh with his wife Nancy and their daughter Juliette.
